Get your brain going

I like to start everyday by reading the paper. Have for years, the only difference is now with my iPad I read the digital version. Love it! I have added "7 little words"
to my daily routine. It's an app that gives you clues and letters. I love it. I never got into sudoku but this is a daily addiction.

Going to heights

Replacing a small board in the ceiling and dusting a fan required renting scaffolding. Good times

Trimming

I'm finally the happy possessor of a yard waste bin. My hauler didnt have them in the past. So each week I plan on aggressively trimming my overgrown shrubs. Last week the rose bushes, this week my lovely but leggy wigellia. I'm sure my neighbors think I must have recently attended the Morticia Adams school of gardening.

Rolling

This is the strangest thing. The stockinette started rolling mid way through the body. Hopefully blocking will make it lay flat

Kindness

A good friends son has just been deployed to a scary place. He is military intelligence. He requested food, and basic sundries. They are in a location where 2 meals a day is the norm. Just tough to get stuff in. They announce it at knitting in case anyone would like to add a something for him and his unit to their shopping list. Anyway. Then a woman who just happened to be having lunch there stopped at the table and gave my friend a stack of bills and said for your son. Then dashed away.

A truly random act of kindness. Such a nice thing to do.
