Handi apps

If you have an iPhone or iPad take a look at the app turboscan. It allows you to take a picture of something and save it as a PDF. I'm still amazed by apps. I didn't think I'd care much for a phone with apps and a data plan. Boy was I wrong!

Milestone

Admitted that I will never be baking large batches of anything. Bought the 2 lb bag of flour. For a recipe using 3 1/2 cups of flour.

Memorial weekend

It's a tradition in our home to go to "the lake". It's a tradition in many MN homes. This year that meant 46 degrees and rain for much of the weekend. So knitting, watching Twins baseball and going to see the Avengers took the place of outdoor activities. I'm nearing the end of the moss stitch shawl. Which is good, since as with my other moss stitch shawls I've hit the point in the process where in could change the name of the pattern to I hate moss stitch.

Thankful

For knitting. Came to sd for a high school grad party. Father in law unexpectedly hospitalized with a perforated ulcer. Lots of sitting around time. Finished a hat. Working on my newest moss stitch shawl. Yes there has been frogging
plus we have cleaned out a garage. And played hits on my iPad.

Not found in nature

The answer would be my current hair
Color. I used a product I've used before in a color I've used before. But instead of a light blond it's more of a rusty orangish pinkish color. Not good. Hopefully washing it will tone it down to something more normal. Of course I did it to cover roots before we go to dh nephews grad. So relatives and pictures. Yahoo

Run amok

After finishing my wingspan and socks I had ever good intention of being a monogamous knitter for awhile. Well that didn't last long. As of today I've started a cardigan for me out of hand dyed rayon on 4's. So clearly that's not going to be a "quickie". A pair of socks on 1's. But they are from a
Kit that raises money for a heart disease related charity, so that doesn't count....right. And a baby sweater for charity. Well I just bought the pattern after being inspired by all
Wonderful things at Shepard's harvest fiber festival.

Oh and a dish cloth that will go to Alexander house.

Perhaps I've run amok. But what fun

Projects completed and projects started

I finished my wingspan. I will make another one in the future, if I happen upon yarn with long stripes of color. It's a great pattern for mindless knitting.

I started heart socks. It is a fun pattern with all the proceeds going to heart disease awareness. My mother died of a heart attack so this cause resonates with me.

And dh started one of the many projects on the list that need to be completed before we can contemplate putting the house on the market.
Pulled up the carpet in the dining room the plan is to install hard wood flooring
