A few things off my needles

A couple of hats for local homeless.
Yes the pink pompom is as big as the hat.
A color affection for me

New level of pet lover

We're used to seeing people in our community pushing dogs in strollers, bringing them into stores and sitting with them outside at restaurants.  And I'm not talking about service dogs.  This day we spotted a group sitting outside eating at a local restaurant, with a very old Shellie at their feet and a small bird in a travel case on the table.
After eating the woman took the bird out of the cage and cuddled it and kissed it and for a brief moment appeared to stick it in her shirt before putting it back in the cage and leaving.

On the knitting front I finished a shawl for a neighbor beginning chemo.
It's steel grey with a pink edge. The yarn is corntastic from kollage.

Out of the bubble

Stopped at one of those places we always just drive by for lunch yesterday.   Had a great burger.
Who'd have guessed?  Will definitely stop again.
