When we first arrived in Florida I purchased an orchid. It was lovely. In full bloom. This is the orchid now. No blooms! Still healthy and it has a new shoot. So perhaps it will bloom again.
On the knitting front, I just finished my second Amenomie hat for a friend's grand daughters. They live in snow. I love this hat pattern! Have another co for a different friends snowbound grandchild.

Things that work
It seems rarely does my knitting work without a visit to the frog pond. My Camilla shawl being the perfect example. Knit, frog repeat seems to be my mantra. Even when Camilla was reborn as a citron it was a knit frog repeat project. My m1s seemed messy and the whole ong didn't look airy it just looked wrong. Now it's moving along on smaller needles and with yo's purple thru the back for a tighter and more uniform increase.
My alumni socks for dd2 are proceeding so far frogless. I believe this is where one says knock on wood and taps on the nearest table. The heel is turned on the first sock and so far so good.
