Happy anniversaries

I finished two fifth anniversary wraps.  It is the perfect car riding/tv watching project.   

Cotton Interlacements yarn. Loosely knit for with a nice drape.

Joann sensations bellezza purchased years ago.  

Finishing and starting

Finally finished the afterthought heel in the socks I knit driving from Florida to Minnesota. 

Started a shawl for the drive back south. 

Post wedding knitting enthusiasm

The week after the wedding my strawberry hydrangeas turned pink.  They are beautiful, but the timing was just a bit off.  

After nothing but dishcloths and a scarf for a month I felt a burst of renewed knitting energy.  So I finished an easy top down sweater in a week.   I used some berrocco acrylic purchased on sale last year.  Soft to knit work horse kind of project.  Just what I needed to get my knitting mojo back. Plus a bit of a stash buster.  Double win!

I'm not well versed in bat removal.  DH is in the cities for meetings, the handyman that we call is in Kansas.  I don't want to do anything that might prompt him to wake up and start panic flying around the cabin so he's harder to evict.  And putting on gloves and grabbing him for removal just isn't in my skill set.   😜

After the rush of preparations, the fun of the event and the series storms we've had in the past few days. This is truly the picture of peaceful.   Still lake, no boats, blue sky.
